The High School Democrats of America (HSDA) are running a nationwide midterm fellowship this fall!
The HSDA Next Wave Fellowship is a national organizing program that trains high school students to run real campaign operations through the 2026 midterm cycle. Fellows will build and lead their own organizing work, learn from political leaders (including members of Congress, veteran political organizers, and party officials), and finish the program with skills that outlast November.
By the end of the Fellowship, each fellow will have hosted their own voter registration drive, ran a phonebank, and written their own piece of legislation. Each fellow will also be equipped with skills in voter protection, digital mobilization, legislative advocacy, and fundraising through weekly trainings.
Program dates: September 23 to November 11, 2026
Wednesdays at 7pm ET/4pm PT: Trainings + guest speaker. Saturdays at 3:00pm ET /`` 12pm PT: All-fellow phonebank (phonebank timings are flexible).
Time commitment: roughly 4-6 hours a week
Who should apply: Any high school student who wants to make a difference and learn more about political organizing! No prior experience is required.
