What are State Chapters?
Each chartered state has an executive board of leaders who help guide and support local chapters and act as a liaison between members in their state and the HSDA national level. Two members of each state also serve on the National Committee. State chapters organize statewide events, connect members to state candidates, plan phone banks and get-out-the-vote campaigns, and coordinate other initiatives. Regional Directors (members of National Staff) support state leaders as they expand and grow. State leaders are a great resource when starting a local chapter!
