Our Future, Our Fight: High School Democrats of America’s Summit 2025

Article by Chief of Staff Suri Yang

From July 14th to July 17th, the High School Democrats of America (HSDA) will be hosting our annual Summit at Georgetown University. This Summit marks the first time HSDA has ever hosted our Summit at Georgetown University, and our second in person Summit since the COVID-19 era.

Our gathering at this University and in Washington was carefully chosen, as Georgetown University remains one of the top institutions in the political science and international relations sector, and D.C., as it is home to all national-level politics, respectively.

Summit will be an event that brings together members of HSDA from all across the nation, making it the only event that we offer that allows members to network with one another on such a large scale. This year will also feature many high-profile speakers, workshops and opportunities for members to get to know each other, a day at the National Mall, and our annual trip to Capitol Hill. We cannot wait to get this transformative event up and going.

Our theme of “Our Future, Our Fight”, highlights the widespread sentiment that all Democrats, from the youngest to the wisest, feel: in order to have a safe, stable, and promising future, it is we must be united in this fight forward.

For Democrats across the US, this means that we need to reignite our purpose and our passion. To forge on in the face of hardships and realize that from this, we can only arise stronger.

High School Democrats of America’s Executive Board, Summit and National Staff, are working tirelessly to curate a legendary panel of some of the largest names in politics, to join us in D.C. to further empower the youth voice. At the forefront of our Summit, is our commitment to making Summit an unforgettable experience that is accessible, motivating, and transformative. The time we will share at Georgetown will be marked by the very change we are about to make as the next politicians, world leaders, and global changemakers.
